Breastfeeding at Work Policy
Why We Have a Breastfeeding Policy
At our company, we are committed to supporting breastfeeding parents and providing a comfortable and safe environment for them to express milk while at work. And we are committed to providing the necessary accommodations to allow breastfeeding parents to continue to provide breastmilk for their infants while at work.
Our Breastfeeding Policy
Our breastfeeding policy outlines our commitment to supporting breastfeeding parents and the steps we are taking to ensure that they have the necessary accommodations and support while expressing milk at work.
- We will provide a private, clean, and comfortable space for breastfeeding parents to express milk. This space will be equipped with a comfortable chair, an electrical outlet for a breast pump, and a sink for washing hands and cleaning pumping equipment.
- We will provide the necessary breaks for breastfeeding parents to express milk, as needed. These breaks will be unpaid and will not count against an employee's paid time off.
- We will make reasonable accommodations for breastfeeding parents, as needed. This may include allowing flexible scheduling or providing additional support and resources to assist with breastfeeding while at work.
- We will maintain the confidentiality of breastfeeding parents and will not discriminate against them because of their breastfeeding status.
With our commitment to supporting breastfeeding parents, we believe that this will support the health and well-being of both parents and their infants and will help to create a positive and inclusive work environment.
