MAKE YOUR CASE
Template of the week: New Vendor / Tech Case Process

So you found a shiny new tool that could change everything — cough cough — but leadership’s not exactly swiping the company card on intuition alone. You need a clear, strategic case that proves the value before the budget’s even on the table.
Here’s how to go from pitch to implementation.
- 💡 Spot the real problem. What’s broken, burning cash, or just plain bringing down the team? Start there. This helps you put it into words what decision makers will care about.
- 🔍 Bring the receipts. Pull in data, feedback, and real examples that highlight the problem. You’re not just pitching an idea — you’re proving the need.
- 📊 Do the math (and the cleanup). Show what it costs, what it saves, and what it replaces. If it adds to the stack, make sure it earns its spot — because nobody needs three tools doing the same thing.
- 📆 Treat it like a project, not a pitch. Lay out the rollout, timeline, and who's involved — because the fastest way to a “yes” is showing you’ve already thought three steps ahead. Kinda like this. 😉

KNOCK KNOCK
Build a brand that opens doors
Personal branding isn't just for the internet famous. When done right, you’ll find your people and your edge. Goldie Chan — public speakerand green-haired LinkedIn legend — breaks down what actually works (and what’s just noise) when it comes to building a brand people trust and remember.

What to learn from a personal branding masterclass:
- 💚 Visuals get attention. Value keeps it. A signature look can help you stand out — but it’s what you say that makes people stick around. “You can have something that gets you started, but always have substance to back it up.”
- 🔁 Consistency > virality. The best personal brands aren’t the flashiest — they’re the ones that show up. “The best personal brands are consistent — even when your role or industry changes.”
- 🌐 Own your platform. Social media is rented space — algorithms change, visibility fades. “Own your own URL.” A simple site gives you control, credibility, and a home base that’s actually yours.
- 🧠 Create for your future self. Play with trends to stay relevant, but ground your content in ideas you’ll still stand behind next year. “Create content that you want to come back to a year from now. That’s your audience.”

TRAINUAL TIPS & TIPS
These 3 training moments are more powerful with video
Some moments in training just stick better when they’re delivered in video. Whether it’s the tone, the pacing, or simply seeing a real person explain something — video helps people connect the dots. In fact, video-based training improves knowledge retention by 25% – 60%.
But do you want to sit through hours of training videos? Hard pass. This isn’t a TED Talk marathon. Your team needs variety — and their attention spans demand it.
That’s why the best training breaks things up. A little video here, some text there, maybe a GIF to keep things fun, an interactive flowchart to map out processes step-by-step, a labeled image for context — mix and match to make training feel one-on-one (without showing up every time).

So where do videos (with just a bit of supporting text) make the most sense?
- Kick things off with context. A short intro video can set the tone, explain why the subject matters, and help your team feel welcomed into the topic before diving into the details.
- Pause for reflection. Drop in a video between topics to give learners a moment to think. Ask a few questions, reinforce key points, and help the info sink in before they move on. (Bonus points if you toss in a reflection quiz right after — they can even do it on camera, reality TV confessional-style.)
- Wrap it up with takeaways. Close things out with a recap video to celebrate progress and highlight the most important points — so your team walks away with confidence and clarity.

DEEP WORK
Find your flow state at the office
You know those rare moments when time disappears, distractions fade, and you're in it? That’s the flow state — a sweet spot where challenge meets focus and work actually feels... good. But in a world of calendar invites, Slack pings, and lukewarm coffee, hitting flow at work can feel like finding Wi-Fi in a basement.

Here’s how to make flow less of a fluke — and more of a habit:
- 🎧 Hit play on our focus playlist. We made it just for you — built for heads-down days and packed with our favorite jams. Headphones on, distractions off, flow unlocked.
- 🌀 Flow doesn’t clock in at 9. You can try to compartmentalize, but stress leaks. Sleep, stress, hydration — it all follows you to your desk. When your life’s a mess, your focus is too.
- 🧹 Clear physical clutter. A clean workspace cues your brain that it’s time to dial in. Bonus points if your tools and training are also organized. 👀
- 🚪 Put up a “do not disturb” (just for a bit). Flow hates interruptions. Block off a chunk of your calendar as “focus time” and defend it.
Flow doesn’t just feel good — it fuels deep work, faster problem-solving, and better results. Protect it like it’s part of your job. Because, honestly? It is.
