LET'S GET PERSONAL
Personal branding: What makes you different?
For better or worse, everyone has a personal brand. It’s true — whether you’ve actively crafted it or not, your brand exists.
The way others think and feel about you when your name comes up is the bedrock of your brand, and properly shaping it can create opportunities you didn’t even know existed. And highlighting your unique value is crucial for achieving your goals. Here’s how:
- Define your purpose. Start by digging deep into your values — what lights your creative fire? These pillars will anchor the type of content you create and paint a clear blueprint for your branding plan.
- Tell your story. Consistently share personal learnings and experiences that others might find value in (don’t underestimate what you bring to the table here). You can post written stories, photos, or videos — mix it up!
- Be authentic. Share your whole truth. Vulnerability draws your audience in, helping them connect with you on a deeper level. If you're feeling stuck, focus on documenting the moments of your life instead of creating the perfect content.
- Promote yourself. Pick it and stick it. Pick one social media platform to focus on and stick to it! Once you’ve built up consistency there, you can consider branching out. And while social is king, don’t sleep on those IRL networking opportunities. (You coming to Playbook 2025? 😉)
- Stay adaptable. Life is all about change, and your personal brand is no exception. Don’t be afraid to experiment and evolve. (P.S. Growth stories make great content.)
TRAINUAL TIPS & TRICKS
Flowcharts that are… fun? Dare we say? We do dare.
Wait, how!? Okay, okay, we’ll spill the beans. You can now add images and GIFs as you map out your processes with flowcharts — just what you need to complete your step-by-step masterpiece.
Hmm… help me out. Where would they go? Adding visual elements to your flows will help them stay engaging, memorable, and easy to follow. Include images and GIFs wherever they’ll bring clarity or personality to your processes.
You’ve always been able to add people and additional content to your flowcharts in Trainual, allowing your team to access profile pics and other relevant information when they need it. But this new option takes visual customization a step further.
Maybe you add a photo of a perfectly organized workstation, product display, or equipment layout (#goals). You could also include a pic of someone wearing their PPE (the right way), a branded or completed form, or a GIF of a tool being used properly. For some extra fun, spice things up with a classic meme or hilariously relevant GIF to guide learners along.
Just think of all the possibilities…

FROM THE GROUND UP
Activate the power of your people
Want to play (dis)connect four? That's the game most companies are playing when it comes to their training and development. Businesses invest $100B in training annually in the U.S., yet only 25% of trainees believe it effectively moves the needle on business operations. Yikes.
So, let’s get to work — Bob the Builder style. It’s time to assess what’s not working and build a training program that truly supports our teams and drives results. Can we fix it? Yes, we can!
If you are ready to improve how your business develops your team members, here are a few things to consider:
- Hire trainable people: Focus on candidates who are willing to learn and possess strong soft skills to build a capable workforce.
- Take a customized approach: Design training programs that align with your business goals. (Psst… Trainual can help!)
- Diverse training: Incorporate interactive elements like quizzes, recaps with action items, and role-play, which increases learner confidence and skills.
- Bring on executive coaches: Invest in mentorship and coaching for leadership roles to boost productivity and retention. (P.S. The ROI is huge!)
