Template of the week: Handling Sales Objections and Stalls Process

Believe it or not, sales objections work in your favor! Research shows that 64% of customers are likelier to buy from a salesperson who effectively addresses their concerns. Objections aren't roadblocks — they're a hidden path to closing more deals and increasing bottom-line revenue.

Here’s how to handle objections like a pro:

  1. Listen up. Prospects know when you’re half-listening. Phone down, focus up.
  2. Make them feel heard. A simple “I get where you’re coming from” builds trust faster than any pitch ever could.
  3. Ask better questions. Don’t assume you know their pain points. Dig deeper, find common ground, and actually solve the right problem.
  4. Bring the receipts. Share real success stories or data that directly address their concerns. Social proof isn’t just helpful—it’s a deal closer.
  5. Close with confidence. Lay out a clear path forward. When people know the next step, they’re way more likely to take it.

THE IRISH GOODBYE

How to stop the wheels from churning

Customer churn is the villain in many business stories. But fear not! With a few strategic adjustments, you can turn the tide and keep your loyal customers returning for more.

How to stop the wheels from churning

Here are a few ways to keep your customers sticking around:

  • Keep a pulse. Did you know that 58% of customers will churn after just one bad experience? Make it a point to send out quick surveys following interactions to keep feedback flowing — giving you the chance to address small issues before they become silent killers.
  • Nail the onboarding process. A personalized onboarding experience makes all the difference—think fun welcome emails, easy-to-follow guides, and a smooth first impression. And with Trainual, keeping it all organized and seamless is a no-brainer. 😏
  • Focus on retention. Remember, word of mouth from current clients influences 20-50% of all purchasing decisions. So don't get so caught up in chasing new customers that you neglect your loyal ones.

TRAINUAL TIPS & TRICKS

Could accessibility be the missing piece in your training?

Trainual Tips and Tricks

You’ve put in the work — carefully crafting training that’s clear, engaging, and tailored to your team. You’ve made sure it’s up to date, packed with value, and ready to roll. But then… your team can’t find it. Oof. All that effort for it to sit there gathering digital dust.

How do I make sure my team can find my training?

We got you. You can customize team accessibility in Trainual using the following options:

  • 👀 Discoverable by your whole team, even if it hasn’t been shared with them directly.
  • 🙏 Viewable by request only. Unassigned employees have to get approval before seeing what’s inside these subjects.
  • 🔒 Private and hidden for everyone but Admins and assignees.

Remember that subjects are defaulted to viewable by request. Just head to any subject and click “Share” to cusomize.  Sweet! Are there any other sharing customizations I can use?You betcha. Here are two more ways to fine-tune access while you’re in there:

  1. Require certain employees or groups to complete the subject (or share it as a reference only).
  2. Grab a public share link to share it with anyone outside of your account — like contractors, prospective hires, or even customers!

Set aside some time to make sure the training you own is easy to access by those that need it (and off-limits for those that don’t). 👉 Get a quick run-through of sharing options in Trainual.

UNSUNG HEROES

From invisible to invincible: Empowering your middle managers

Some might say middle managers get the short end of the stick. They’re stuck playing referee between upper management and the frontline team, and honestly, it’s a tough gig. Despite their impact, 82% of middle managers feel invisible. (Ahem, kind of like the middle child...) They wear so many hats — strategist, coach, and sometimes even counselor — but rarely get the applause they deserve.

From invisible to invincible: Empowering your middle managers

Here are three ways to support and uplift middle managers:

  1. Provide customized training. Since middle managers’ roles are unique, their training should be too! Offer relevant and practical training sessions focused on building up their leadership skills and emotional intelligence. (Psst… these are just two of Trainual's 360+ pre-built premium courses that are built by experts and ready to share with your team!)
  2. Make check-ins count. Schedule monthly 1:1s to dive into what’s working, what’s not, and how to support your middle managers. Giving them a space to be heard helps you spot opportunities to help them grow and thrive.
  3. Recognize their contributions. Be sure to shout out achievements one-on-one, in team meetings, or in company updates. Creating a “praise” channel in your team’s chat platform is a fun and easy way to share recognition!
