I’m excited to share that I just published my second book, The Business Playbook. And this time around, it’s all about business playbooks (and how to build one)!

Chris Ronzio, author of The Business Playbook book

You may be wondering why now or why bother writing a book? So, I’m here to share everything you need to know.

What the book is about

This book explains why it’s so critical to have a business playbook from a high level. But basically, a business playbook outlines how your company does the things that make it successful and scalable.

Without one, your business is basically running blindly. And when there are no directions for how you do what you do, there is no way to know if you’re running the right plays. And there’s definitely no way to show someone else how to do it.

Meaning, it’s up to you (as the business leader) to make sure it all gets done. But that can happen if all your company's policies, processes, and best practices are filed away in your head. At that point, your business operates inconsistently, has higher turnover, and struggles to break through the growth ceiling.

So, I want to help get your business out of your brain and documented where anyone on your team can access the information (AKA your business playbook). That way, you can finally step into the role of the entrepreneur, get consistent results, and finally scale your business.

Besides explaining the importance of a playbook, this book also breaks down how to build one step-by-step. And I even go into the nitty-gritty of creating and refining effective, repeatable processes and systems

Why I wrote this book

One of the most impactful books for me growing up was The E-Myth Revisited by Michael E. Gerber (which is why it was so cool to have him write the foreword to my book!).

The E-Myth unpacks why entrepreneurs need to work on their businesses. And making a playbook is a key piece of his recommendation. But in my book, I show you exactly how to build one.

Honestly, I’ve read tons of books that talk about why business owners need to work on systems or processes. But never how to actually make a manual or playbook. And because I know business leaders (like you) want clear step-by-step instructions, I decided to create the first tactical guide.

In The Business Playbook, you’ll find the information you need to fill that gap - by following detailed instructions for how to get started.

So, whether you’re hiring your first employee or you’re already at 500 team members, if you’re looking to scale your business, this book is for you.

Why now

For me, writing this book was about officially defining the term playbook as it relates to business. And finally, writing down the common denominators we see across the world's most successful small businesses.

I’ve spent almost 4 years field-testing my 3-step training methodology: Do it. Document it. Delegate it. That way, I'd be sure the concepts in this book (which builds off that methodology) would last for years and decades to come.

But I wanted this resource to be accessible to all small business leaders who need it. For every customer who uses Trainual, hundreds or thousands of business owners and leaders don't. So, this book is to help all those DIYers out there build their playbooks - and better businesses as a result.

Where to get The Business Playbook

If you're ready to build a business playbook once and for all, this is the book that will help get you there. And you can find your copy of The Business Playbook on Amazon

I can't wait to hear what you all think about The Business Playbook and how it changes the way your business runs!
