It’s hard out there for a small business — time always seems to be of the essence. And when you’re running the show with a limited amount of helping hands, you need to create time and space wherever you can.

So maybe you decided to document your processes, streamline your onboarding and training, and effectively build your business playbook with a little thing called Trainual. (Great first step, by the way.)

But you can make Trainual work harder for you and your business. And that’s exactly what the winners of our 2022 Trainual Customer Awards have figured out.

How did we find this list of superstar customers? First, we looked for companies who were utilizing Trainual’s capabilities to the fullest, including some of the new features we launched during Playbook 2021 (such as org chart, documenting a responsibility, creating a bio, collection creation, and pinning a collection).

Then, we looked at the number of published subjects, assignments, and completions on a per-user basis.

Okay, now that we’ve gotten the logistics out of the way…

It’s time to meet the top winners of our annual Trainual Customer Awards! Let’s talk about how they’re wielding the power of Trainual to document their processes, onboard and train their teams quickly and efficiently, and in turn, grow their businesses like a runaway SMB train that can’t be stopped. (Choo, choo, baby!)

We’re honored and humbled to play a small role in the journeys of these businesses and can’t wait for our community to fall in love with them the way we have.

Swine It

“Systems run the business, and people run the systems. Now go get ‘em!.” – Dr. Márcio Gonçalves, CEO and founder of Swine It

The biz: Just about everything can benefit from processes — including pig farming. Swine It set out to shine a light on how swine professionals can blend traditional practices with new and innovative techniques to push their industry further. How did Swine It do that? By carving out a niche as a one-stop-shop of digital information (like podcasts, education courses, web conferences, and so much more) for nutritionists, veterinarians, and producers. They’ve helped over 155K people improve their pig farms, optimize operations, and raise healthier pigs, impacting over 10M sows and 210M pigs per year. As they put it, “not too shabby for a bunch of enthusiasts.”

Swine It’s now growing into its next business phase — Get Wise, a media company producing content from the brightest minds in the agriculture industry.

Team size: Less than 10.

The numbers: 196 published subjects and 2,751 assignments. Dang.

Advice on leveling up your Trainual technique? “Divide your systems into leadership, marketing strategy, lead generation, finance, sales, customer success and fulfillment, and management. Also, have a recurring monthly meeting to go over the progress on your process documentation.”

MPParts

The biz: MPParts is a “team of high performers based in Rockhill, South Carolina.” That’s coming from Brandon Syler, CEO of MPParts. On its surface, MPParts delivers parts and equipment to ready-mix concrete producers. But Brandon and his team are much more than that — they take time to not only understand their customers’ needs but understand who they are personally. Team MPParts rapidly responds and successfully deals with unexpected and unanticipated challenges by putting themselves in their customers’ shoes, and acting in their interest. How does that happen? By fostering a highly collaborative team that’s aligned on processes and is empowered to make organizational and operational improvements for the business.

Team size: 25 employees.

The numbers: 160 subjects published and 7,949 assignments.

Hey MPParts — why choose Trainual? “We love Trainual because it aligns our entire culture around a healthy D.O.S.E. of Discipline, Order, Systemization, and Excellence.”

Quality Water Systems

For the new people who are coming on [to Trainual], don’t think you’re going to do it all at one time — you gotta enjoy the journey with this.” – Travis Mong, CEO of Quality Water Systems

The biz: Kickin’ it all the way from eastern Ohio, Quality Water Systems is a full-service water well drilling company that’s been using Trainual for almost two years. But what does that “full-service” actually entail? Well, it means that this tight-knit crew installs, repairs, and maintains well systems for homes and commercial and agricultural clients. They also deliver five-gallon spring and distilled bottled water to homes and businesses along with softener salt.

Team size: 10-25 employees.

The numbers: 168 subjects published and 1,196 assignments.

Advice on leveling up your Trainual technique? “If you see something that comes up, implement it right then and there. Put that process into Trainual. Make a video. Upload it. Just do it in bits and pieces. It’s not going to be built overnight. You’re just going to take some time to do that.”

Also: “Make sure you’re going over the progress with everyone. There’s a report that shows how each person is doing with their actual score… put that in your meetings. Let them know, ‘hey, this is where you’re at with your Trainual score.’ Get them up to 100%. Even with onboarding… get people validated from day one. It will cut the learning curve in half. Literally.”

And now, the rest of our top 20 Trainual customers:
