As a fully remote SaaS company serving gym and fitness studio clients, PushPress faces the challenge of maintaining a cohesive workplace culture across a dispersed workforce. Prior to Trainual, PushPress's onboarding was fairly basic. "It was good and definitely supported our needs at the time, but as we were starting to grow, we needed to optimize and better tell the Push Press story from the get-go," explained Ali Cadmus, the company's People Operations Manager.

Accessible knowledge base promoting autonomy for a fully remote workforce

Fostering self-sufficiency is paramount for remote teams working across different geographies and time zones. Trainual serves as PushPress's on-demand knowledge base that employees can reference at any point for guidance on processes, IT setup, and more.

"Since we're 100% remote, we wanted to create something [teammates] could always come back to," said Ali. "Trainual is a great way to introduce them to all the different types of applications that we're using. It breaks it down for everybody — tells everyone the use case for each application."

International remote teams come with challenges — including the potential time wasted waiting for answers from workers in other time zones. "If you're a 100% remote team, I think Trainual is just a really great tool to have to be able to train your employees in general so that they can just maintain their regular work schedule.”

By outlining clear expectations and best practices, the playbook streamlines comprehension and understanding for managers. That training, in turn, helps these employees better manage onboarding for their new team members. “They're also managing parts of the team and it's just made the onboarding process faster,” shared Ali.

“I don't have to spend as much time answering questions on the initial onboarding call because all their questions are easily answered and they're able to refer back to it in Trainual.”
