Scottsdale training software firm wins most promising startup award

Company: Trainual, the Scottsdale-based online training software firm for growing companies.

Award: Named the 2019 Most Promising Startup at the Oct. 17 DesTechAZ event in Scottsdale, presented by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.

How they won: Trainual founder and CEO Chris Ronzio pitched a panel of venture capital judges during the program’s graduation showcase competition as one of 10 startups that are part of the Arizona Commerce Authority’s Venture Ready business mentorship program. Throughout the year, Ronzio worked closely with his mentor, former AAA Arizona CEO Mike Tully, through five panels focusing on intake, marketing, finance, dry run and a final graduation pitch that he presented on the DesTechAZ stage.
